If you have no teeth at all, denture can be prepared in 2 or 3 days:
1-2 days - taking impression, occlusal device, recording mandibular joint and modelling (about 5 to 6 hours of work).
2 days - handover of the denture.
If it is necessary to extract a root or do other kind of oral surgery, bones and soft tissues have to heal first (from 6 to 8 weeks). A temporary denture is prepared for this period, the permanent one is made only after the mouth has healed.
It is worth spending the next 2 or 3 days with checking and correcting smaller errors, healing incidental upsurges that can occur after having begun to use the new denture.
